Gruppo Banca Leonardo is a private investment bank, active in Continental Europe and run by an experienced management team that has a significant equity participation. It was established in October 1999.
In April 2006, Mr. Gerardo Braggiotti, together with a group of major international investors, acquired and recapitalized the bank, focusing it on investment banking, wealth management and private equity.
Since the acquisition, GBL has realized important add-ons to strengthen its investment banking and wealth management activities and to expand its international footprint.

• Wealth management : specialised in equities and bonds products, the Group has three Asset Management Units, one in France DNCA Finance, one in Italy Leonardo SGR, and one in Luxembourg Leonardo Asset Management. Each of these manages a range of domestic investment product.
• Private equity : the group carries out private equity activities with the objective to acquire controlling stakes in especially promising and dynamic Italian companies.
• Market-related activities : research in Italian equities with a bottom-up approach and sector expertise, mainly focusing on mid and small caps.
